Nerf, the greatest weapon of office and child warfare, is back with a new line of blasters that elevate the foam projectile experience to the level of airsoft or paintball. The new Rival line only includes two new guns at this time, but Apollo and Zeus are both pretty awesome weapons. Apollo is a single-shot, spring-loaded blaster with a seven round quick loading clip that feeds into the grip, just like on a normal pistol. Apollo’s dad, Zeus, is a motorized blaster that holds almost twice as many balls and fires up to 100 ft/s, which is roughly 70MPH. Both guns skip the standard Nerf dart in favor of a small ball that maintains stability in the air thanks to golf ball-style dimples and gets backspin thanks to the uniform shape. Each blaster comes in red or blue and everything (including refill magazines, additional rounds and face masks) should be available from Toys “R” Us later this month.
