The Impromptu is a machined steel body that holds a Rite in the Rain all-conditions and attaches to your bag, pocket or notebook with a stainless steel clip. Because it’s click-based, there are no caps to lose, and you can start writing almost immediately. The fact that it looks like it was designed by H.R. Giger is also positive, but not as significant as the fact that it has a glass-breaker tip.
