Sony A5000 Camera

Sony A5000 Camera

To the layman, the Sony A5000 is a cool looking, interchangeable lens mirrorless digital camera with a 3″ LCD screen, 1080p video, 20.1Mp sensor and built-in NFC Wi-Fi. But if you’re a layman you’re probably not spending $600 on a camera, so we’re going to geek out a little bit on the specs. In no particular order, the A5000 packs: 20.1Mp Exmor APS HD CMOS Sensor, BIONZ X image processor, continuous shooting up to 3.5fps, full HD 1080i/p video at 60 and 24fps, included 16-50mm f3.5-5.6 OSS Retractable Zoom Lens, 3.0″ 460.8k-Dot Tilting LCD, NFC Wi-Fi, and 25-point Contrast Detection Autofocus. There’s also a pop-up flash and a whole slew of “Photo Creativity” and “Picture Effects,” but you’ll probably never use any of that. If you liked the Sony NEX line, this is the first entry in the line of succession.
