When it comes to starting points for car and motorcycle rebuilds, there’s almost nothing better than a solid barn find. And that brings us to the Panache Customs 1977 Yamaha XS 360 build you see here. Charles Murillon from Panache found this bike in a barn and began riding it immediately as a daily driver. Soon after, he began unscrewing parts and embarked on the two year long journey that would turn that barn find into the gorgeous piece of machinery you see here. Murillon was incredibly meticulous when it came to the changes, so he purchased parts as he could and even did a year-long sting at Diamond Atelier in Munich to learn everything about motorcycle customization. The Diamond Atelier influence from bikes like their BMW R100R is there, but Panache’s first custom build is a thing all its own. (For the record, they’re the ones that dubbed it ‘Falkor’ because it was a neverending build.) How did all that work out on the new bike? Minimized wiring, dual front disc brakes, master cylinder upgrade, overall cleanup, Motogadget electronics, and some custom stainless side panels. Falkor is the perfect example of a clean, modernized vintage bike.
