While there’s enough of DNA to tell where it came from, it would be hard to tell at first glance that this bike started as a 1965 Ducati 250 Scrambler. Made by Sean Skinner, the mad scientist behind the Virgnia-based shop MotoRelic, the “Dastardly Ducati” ended up in his shop needing more than just a little a TLC. The frame was butchered. The tank needed to be replaced. The light was changed. The engine had major leaks. Skinner got to work fixing, replacing or completely re-engineering any issues that would have prevented this bike from running like it was originally built to or looking like it belonged on the cover of a magazine. This is one of those bikes with the perfect amount of modern engineering mated to vintage style that really just makes you want to jump on and ride. The Dastardly Ducati is already spoken for, but given the way Skinner talks about it, he’d love to do another one if you happen to have an old Scrambler collecting dust somewhere.
