When the Honda MSX125–aka the Grom–was first released in 2014 we declared it a more capable successor to the Honda Monkey that, at the time, was discontinued. Both bikes are going strong with their most recent releases, but that didn’t stop Industrial Moto from putting their own unique touches on the 2018 Honda MSX125 Grom. They took the capable 2018 Honda Grom platform and made it even better with upgrades to the seat, plastics and lighting. The most important modification was moving the exhaust to the opposite side so they could showcase the piece resistance, GUS–the Grom Utility Sidecar. GUS is a fully capable utility and passenger sidecar that incorporates a suspension, headlights, impressive ground clearance, quick clamps, storage boxes, accessories mount and easy access to everything inside. Since the passenger seat and grab bar are detachable, you can save on weight when you’re only toting gear instead of a person. The upgrades to the Grom bike itself are impressive enough, but when you factor in the sidecar that looks like it should have been an option from the factory, the entire package is even better.
