‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Batpod Is up for Auction

‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Batpod Is up for Auction

Prop Store is hosting one of Europe’s largest entertainment memorabilia auctions later this month, which gives you the ability to own one of 6 Batpods from The Dark Knight Rises. For at least $80k, you can own one of the iconic motorcycles that popped out of the even-more-iconic Tumbler when Christian Bale was rolling around trying to save Gotham. Conceived by Christopher Nolan and production designer Nathan Crowley, and brought to life by effects supervisor Chris Corbould, this Batpod was well used on both Dark Knight films and shows some wear. While it is an authentic Batpod, it’s sold in non-functional “rolling only” condition with no fluid, battery, fuel tank or throttle controls. In other words, if you want to actually ride it around you’re going to need to do some serious work.
