Blacktrack Motors BT-03 Harley-Davidson Cafe Racer

It doesn’t matter how removed you are from the world of motorcycles, you know the sound and style of a Harley. As familiar as we all are with the Sportster, cruiser and chopper motorcycle style Harleys, there was a time in the late 70s when Harley-Davidson made an American cafe racer. That bike, the XLCR, serves as the inspiration for Blacktrack Motors BT-03. Blacktrack founder and lead designer Sacha Lakic “was spellbound every time I saw one (the XLCR) on the streets of Paris,” which is why his BT-03 creation sought to capture and ethos and mystique of the original while creating something original based on the monstrous powerplant (1,868cc with 155 Nm of torque, stock) from a Softail Fat Bob 114 base bike. The BT-03 leaves the Fat Bob’s original frame and geometry while upgrading the overall look with bespoke aluminum and composite parts, trees, foot controls, brackets, upgraded suspension, forged aluminum wheels and brakes, among other things. Blacktrack knocked it out of the park with this one.
