Nervous System—a generative design studio founded by MIT grads—works at the intersection of science, art and technology… which is why it should come as no surprise that if anyone was going to design an infinite jigsaw puzzle it would be them. Using the principles of a dissected Klein bottle, the Infinite Galaxy Puzzle tiles continuously with no fixed shape, starting point or edges. Tiles on the right can be placed on the left just by flipping them over, and the puzzles include whimsical shapes like an astronaut, space shuttle and a satellite. The 133 piece puzzle is laser cut from custom birch plywood and decorated with imagery from the galactic enter region of the Milky Way. It’s far out, man.
