It could be the fact that we all have so many of them of them, but we seem to demand more and more from our tools on a daily basis. That applies to pens, too. We like the simplicity of only having a cool ink deployment system and clean lines, but the Gerber Impromptu Tactical Pen is just so manly we can’t but love it. The Impromptu is a machined steel body that holds a Rite in the Rain all-conditions and attaches to your bag, pocket or notebook with a stainless steel clip. Because it’s click-based, there are no caps to lose, and you can start writing almost immediately. The fact that it looks like it was designed by H.R. Giger is also positive, but not as significant as the fact that it has a glass-breaker tip.
