Dyson’s V15 Detect Vacuum Uses Lasers to Detect Particles

These days, when it comes to vacuums, there’s Dyson and everyone else. Sir James Dyson has made it his life’s work to revolutionize the world of vacuum cleaners–and other related products–that bear his name, and his latest, the V15 Detect, is nothing short of a career masterpiece. While it might look like your traditional Dyson Animal with the handheld operation and familiar form factor, it’s anything but traditional. This time around, the Dyson team built-in a precisely-angled green laser and custom lens to reveal dust and other particles that are so small the human eye wouldn’t be able to see them.
