Hanayama Impossible Bolt Puzzle

Hanayama makes some of the most challenging and coolest puzzles out there. The Nutcase “Impossible” Bolt Puzzle from Bepuzzled is a brain teaser that challenges you to take a single nut and bolt combination and separate the nuts from the bolts to reveal the interior stash container and remove the rattling nuts held inside. If and when you manage to solve the puzzle, the interior stash compartment can be used to store small goods from prying eyes, but figuring out the solution is nowhere near as simple as just screwing and unscrewing the “nut” and “case” labeled nuts from the bolts. Hanayama has created some pretty difficult cast metal puzzles over the years. This one continues the tradition with a “Level 6” rating that is “considered very difficult by most puzzlers.” Mr. Puzzle has the complete solution for the infuriatingly addictive puzzle, but don’t watch the video unless you want to spoil the challenge. And even if you do watch it, it’s not a foolproof way to beat it.
