Don’t get us wrong, we love beer as much as the next guy. But the breakfast beer craze has gone as crazy as bourbon prices. You’ve got Fruity Pebbles beer with glitter. Lucky Charms beer with marshmallows. And now, a Black Seed and Folksbier collaboration beer that’s made with bagels. Black Seed Glow up, as they’re calling it, is a unique twist on their Berliner Weisse that replaces a portion of the grist with day-old Black Seed Bagels and honey to create a relatively mild beer that’s sour and bright while still being creamy and smooth. In other words, and for the better, it’s not a beer that tastes like you’re drinking an everything bagel. We’re on board. According to Delish, “the limited-edition beer is available at several New York-based restaurants, including Grand Army, Celestine, The Smile, Old Rose, As Is, and Otto’s Market.” You can also stop into Folksbier’s Carroll Gardens taproom to pick up 750ml to-go or sample the draft. Even better, this particular beers reduces waste, increases sustainability and they’re donating a dollar from every bottle sold to No Kid Hungry.
