With the rise of prefabricated houses and tiny home living, we’re expecting to see many more all-in-one options like the Cooking Box. Designed by Giovanni Pesce for Maiullari, the Cooking Box is a versatile, mobile, modern kitchen–of sorts. The monobloc, which measure 38.2 inches deep when closed, is made up of two parts. One side, which includes a sink, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and fridge, needs to be affixed to a wall to hook up to plumbing and electrical. The outswinging part swivels open on wheels and reveals storage space and a folding table. The design is clean and simple, with wood construction throughout. Though we don’t anticipate every homeowner will start installing them, the Cooking Box could be ideal for maximizing small spaces or even pre-fab hospitality options.
