When it comes to boomboxes, there is no option more iconic than the JVC RC M90–aka The King. Whether it’s the soaring secondary prices, the feature on LL Cool J’s Radio album cover, the presence in multiple Beastie Boys photoshoots or just the fact it’s considered a hip hop staple, this boombox is part of the music lexicon–and now it’s available in wax form. London-based shop Cent.Ldn has taken the iconic boombox of yore and turned it into a smaller, yet still quite hefty, cream / off-white candle that weighs in at 4lbs and measures 11″ x 5.5″ x 3″. Each candle is individually hand-poured in the likeness of the music staple and features three separate wicks so you can burn it at whatever speed you desire. Honestly, even if you never set a single one of the wicks ablaze, it’s still a great statement piece crafted with the utmost attention to detail and respect for the classic piece it’s designed to represent.
