Han Solo’s Iconic DL-44 Heavy Blaster Heads to Auction

Han Solo’s Iconic DL-44 Heavy Blaster Heads to Auction

Star Wars fans have long coveted the myriad of props and memorabilia surrounding the beloved Sci-Fi series which launched in ’77. But, this particular movie prop auction piece might just take the cake. The long-lost BlasTech DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol wielded by Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope has resurfaced and is available to own. While the 9mm blaster was used by Harrison Ford in the iconic moments of A New Hope, it was labeled missing so Ford switched to a different blaster prop for subsequent films. But, thanks to Rock Island Auctions, one lucky Star Wars fan can call this blaster their own.

Accompanying the blaster itself is a signed photo of Harrison Ford as the interstellar smuggler himself Han Solo. Rock Island Auctions estimates that bidding will end up between $300,000 and $500,000 but we wouldn’t be surprised if it winds up much higher.
