Bonhams, the famed auction house, just completed a sale that included almost 300 pieces of space history, and we’re not talking about tiny rocks, either. Full scale vintage Sputnik-1 lab model. 15 life-size plaster casts of the right hands of astronauts used in the making of space suit gloves. Michael Collins’ flown crew-signed Apollo 11 emblem. Flown navigation globe and orbitometer from the Salyut 6 space station. There were also navigational charts, space suits, models, navigation indicators and other pieces of space history that would look awesome wherever they were displayed. Some of the pieces might pop up again for sale, but in the meantime enjoy the trip through history.
