If you’ve heard of the skate/snowboarding/technical apparel company 686, you’re probably wondering what they’re doing making toolbelts. Slow your roll Bob Vila; we’re not talking about that kind of toolbelt. The latest invention from the guys at 686 could very well be the most important piece of equipment in your boarding/blading arsenal. At first glance, the 686 Toolbelts look like your average pant security device. Having a 100% full grain water-proof leather belt is definitely important if you don’t want to produce a full moon – even more important if you don’t want snow or asphalt in your short and curly protectors. Then, in typical 686 fashion, they took it to the next level by making buckle a bottle opener, turning the prongs into screwdrivers (flat and phillips) and transforming the belt loop into an 8/10/11mm wrench. Even if you don’t board this is still probably the best belt ever.
