Nest Protect

You’re probably familiar with the Nest Thermostat. If you’re not, it’s basically the most exciting thing to happen to thermostats, well… ever. The guys behind the smart temperature device are back with the Nest Protect. The Nest Protect is an innovative smoke alarm and carbon monoxide detector that keeps you safe without annoying you in the process. The color changes on the device to alert you of potential problems and then lets you silence alarms by waving your hand if everything is under control (a far better option than ripping it off the ceiling every time you cook some burgers on your stove top). It speaks to you in a human voice and makes understanding what issue is happening and where much easier and, in return, keeps you safer. It can also interact with your Nest Thermostat to shut off your furnace if there is a possible carbon monoxide leak and it can promise you no annoying beeps with low batteries at night.
