Anyone who spends even a little bit of time on Imgur knows that Adam Savage is not only an account holder, but an active member of the community. This past holiday season, Savage got more involved than usual and entered the site’s Secret Santa program. With the work ethic you’d expect from one half of the Mythbusters, Savage put his shop to use and modded a store-bought NERF gun, turning it into something closer to what a military-sponsored foam dart gun would look like. You can see the whole process in Savage’s Tested, a YouTube series that plays like a more curated, more personal continuation of Mythbusters. We get to see Savage’s method step by step, so you’d be able to replicate it if you have the gumption (and materials, money, time, and patience).
