Star Wars BB-8 Droid

Star Wars BB-8 Droid

Thirty seconds in to the first trailer we saw for Star Wars: The Force Awakens (watch it again here) was the introduction of a tiny little droid that looked like a soccer ball with a head tearing ass across the desert. It was on screen for a total of three seconds, but from that moment we know that BB-8 was going to be awesome in the movie. We’re all going to have to wait until December 18th to see him in the films, but starting today you can have your very own BB-8 running around your place. Released as part of Force Friday, BB-8 is a robot produced by Sphero that can be controlled with an app or left to wander around your home autonomously. It lights up. It crashes into walls. It emotes and seems to have a personality. It’s the next coolest thing to have after that cross guard lightsaber.
