Sony Bluetooth Speaker Lightbulb

Sony Bluetooth Speaker Lightbulb

There have been a few options for getting audio out of a standard light socket before—a few even also had a light source—but none of them really looked like lightbulbs or bore the Sony name. The electronics giant has combined the best of both the Bluetooth speaker and smart light bulb worlds into one product: the Sony LED Light Bulb Speaker. Designed, built and currently available only in Japan, the smart LED bulb outputs up to 360 lumens of dimmable, adjustable light controllable with iOS or Android devices via an app, or with the included remote. On the speaker end of things, you get a 2 watt system with Bluetooth 3.0, A2DP and AVRCP connectivity. It’s pricey, but that price tag gets you light, music and mood with a few simple twists of the hand and a light socket.
