If aliens appeared in a UFO blasting the latest track from Nicki Minaj, we’d be scared and more than a little confused. Well, there are no aliens, but you can still play your music off something eerily reminiscent of a flying saucer. Mars is a portable Bluetooth speaker that actually levitates over a subwoofer charging base. And while it does look cool, it’s actually a clever design from a performance standpoint, because, by hovering, the speaker offers sound projection that doesn’t get impeded by any flat surface. It also happens to be crafted out of aircraft grade aluminum making it both waterproof and extremely durable. The base lets you charge your devices while charging the speaker itself, and boasts a custom 3-3/4″ high-excursion ceramic motor woofer. Great, portable sound, and a little bit of sci-fi.
