Libratone Zipp AirPlay Speaker

If you want a portable, wireless speaker for your iDevice of choice, it’s not that hard to find one that will fit the bill. You have plenty of options for bluetooth or Airplay (or, technically, Airplay using bluetooth), but few of them have the bonus features that the Libratone Zipp offers. Let’s get the basics out of the way first: Airplay, USB audio, 3.5mm audio, 1×4″ bass, 2×1″ tweeters, 60W, 4hrs battery life and it’s roughly the size of a small purse. What might make it worth the price tag to you are the things not on that list. It’s got Libratone “PlayDirect” technology which basically means it acts as its own wifi network so you can use Airplay when you’re disconnected from the world. It’s also got “FullRoom” sound to give you a 360 degree sound experience. Oh yeah, and it’s decked out in handpicked Italian wool from Italy that would make even Carlton jealous.
