Harman Kardon has been producing awesome audio equipment since before there was even a Cool Material, and they’ve done quite a few pairs in the crystalline style of the fortress of solitude. No other pair has been as glaringly beautiful as the SoundSticks though, and that’s probably why they’re a permanent fixture at MoMA. And now, the SoundSticks have finally joined the generation where everything has Bluetooth and people really, really hate wires. Rounding out the collection of features is a six-inch woofer, eight full-range drivers, 40W amp and touch controls for volume and muting. The satellite speakers still look like alien shower heads, and the woofer still looks like one of those electric desk globes that shocks you when you touch it, but that just means they didn’t fix a design that was, in our opinion, close to perfect.
