Bose has long been a leader in the performance audio market, and now they’ve finally tackled something that has alluded other makers—working out without wires. The new Bose SoundSport Free wireless earbuds are perfect for workouts. The biggest issue we’ve had when using truly wireless earbuds for a workout is that they always seem to pop out once you hit your stride. You’ll never be the dude at the gym looking for one missing earbud under a bench or in a rack, because the nozzle of the StayHear+ Sport tips is engineered to spread contact evenly inside your ear while the fin conforms comfortably to the upper ridge of your ear. They’re also weather and sweat resistant because that’s kind of a necessary feature in an “active lifestyle” product. Unless your workouts last for more than five hours you’ll be fine on a single charge, but the battery case will give you an additional 10 hours when you’re traveling. On the sound side, a volume-optimized EQ and Bose digital signal processing make sure they’re full and balanced whether you’re trying to drown out deadlift grunts or ease into a cool down. Bose SoundSport Free earbuds will be available in black in mid-October and midnight blue / yellow citron in mid-November.
