Last year, Amazon released Echo, a really, really awesome voice-controlled entertainment hub that was ignored by far too many people. Now, Amazon is expanding the Alexa line with Tap, a voice-controlled Bluetooth speaker designed for a bit more portability. All you need to do is tap the microphone button on the speaker and say your request—anything from a specific song you want to hear to a pizza order you want to place. You can listen to music from Prime Music (obviously), Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn, and Tap can stream the music from your Bluetooth-connected phone or device. Powered by Dolby, the dual stereo speakers spit out 360° sound, and the device itself offers 9 hours of playback. Whereas Echo was meant more to sit on a shelf in your living room, Tap is designed to be attached to a backpack, thrown in a bag, or carried around for use. Just like with Echo, we’re fans.
