Vagabund Moto is a small shop out of Austria that just released details on their latest creation, the Vagabund V07 “The Whale” BMW R100R Custom. There’s no two ways about it, this bike is absolutely stunning. The sheer amount of work that went into creating this perfect example of motorcycle design minimalism will blow your mind, but it’s that picture perfect silhouette and the sweeping lines of the aluminum monocoque atop blacked out everything else (probably what led to “The Whale” name) that will catch your eye first. As beautiful as it is though, it’s the construction details you might not notice at first that really set the bike apart. A motogadget speedometer and the bike’s dummy lights are camouflaged underneath the top of the tank and viewable through an acrylic panel. The hand-shaped monocoque that replaced the tank, seat and rear light glides skyward with a hidden cable pull release to reveal a custom-built subframe with a hand-sewn leather valet tray by Werkdorf that securely holds a stormproof lighter, Leatherman and card wallet. This bike is an exercise in attention to detail.
