If you’ve always wanted to park an ICON 4×4 in your driveway or garage (who hasn’t?) but never had the cash to shell out for an original direct from the brand, now’s your chance to own ICON FJ40 #12. Currently up for auction on Everything But The House (EBTH) is a custom 2008 FJ40 ICON built on a 1970 Toyota FJ40 chassis. As with every ICON production, this vehicle is a tribute to the spirit of the original Land Cruisers and has been built, rebuilt or custom-made with exacting specifications to create something equally suited for off-road adventure and daily driving. In the case of the ICON FJ40 #12, that meant hand building a 5/32″ thick 5052 H32 aluminum body and covering it in a hybrid blend of Teflon and a Cardinal paint powder coat in a matte-style Spruce Green. Inside the cab you’ll find German marine vinyl seat upholstery with contrasting details, ICON instrument panel and a redone dash. Power comes from a 350-hp 5.7L GM RamJet V8 engine, and the car sits on ATX Mojave wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires. All you need to do is throw in some emergency supplies and hit the road.
