Berluti Dune Buggy

Berluti Dune Buggy

It’s not uncommon to see European luxury brands and ateliers try their hands at car customizing, but few end products are as stunning as the Berluti Dune Buggy you see here. Built to pay homage to “the rebellious and carefree lifestyle of 1960’s Southern California,” the Berluti Dune Buggy is the Parisian brand’s take on the iconic Meyers Max buggy model as seen through the lens of design director Kris Van Assche. In practice, this means a familiar shell on VW Beetle chassis powered by an air-cooled 1600cc generating 90 horsepower, but it’s the Berluti touches that really separate this from other buggies. Berluti Venezia patinated leather can be found throughout the interior onthe seats, dash, steering wheel and gearshift, and the removable top is covered in a patterned Berluti canvas that Van Assche himself designed. When you pair those accents with the contrasting white body you have a vehicle that stands out regardless of where you’re driving it.
