Italdesign Ducati 860-E Concept Electric Motorcycle

Italdesign Ducati 860-E Concept Electric Motorcycle

Despite the fact the Ducati 860 GT and its various iterations were only produced for a handful of years in the late 1970s, it remains one of the most controversial–and lovingly modified–bikes from the brand’s portfolio. That’s largely due to the controversial angular design of the cosmetic bits by noted designer Giorgetto Giugiaro. Giugiaro, the renowned face behind Italdesign, has turned his watchful eye from the likes of Alfas, Audis, and Nissans to revisit one of the pieces he had a hand in originally designing with this Italdesign Ducati 860-E Concept Motorcycle. This design redux takes everything we imagined Giugiaro had in mind for the original and takes it even further with sleek lines, a streamlined silhouette, and design language that pushes the envelope for what’s possible with two-wheeled transportation even four decades later. And that’s before you consider the fact that this modern iteration is entirely electric. There are no plans for this bike to see production, but we’d be first on the waiting list if it ever got made because it’s just that good looking.
