There are more than a few great American bike builders, but none are as iconic as the focus of German imprint teNeues’ latest coffee table book—Harley-Davidson. Appropriately titled The Harley-Davidson Book, this hardcover tome features more than 200 pages of color, text and black and white photographs dedicated to “the power and beauty of the engines and the elegance and strength of these machines from Lake Michigan.” From flatheads and knuckleheads to panheads and ironheads to Evolutions and modern-day fuel injectors this book is an homage to all the engines that delivered freedom on two wheels to millions of people looking for an escape. The concept and design were developed by Michael Köckritz, editor-in-chief of ramp magazine, with author credits from the passionate bikers Dirk Mangartz (editor-in-chief of Custombike), Sven Wedemeyer (photographer and bike builder) and Philipp Wente (photographer and editor at ramp). If a Harley is your bike of choice, this is a coffee table book you’ll want to display. The Harley-Davidson Book is currently available for pre-order with a scheduled release in September.
