What to Watch This Weekend: Ugly Delicious

What to Watch This Weekend: Ugly Delicious

With cable, Netflix, and internet options, finding the best thing to watch during your downtime is difficult. Instead of flipping through menus all weekend and settling on nothing, turn to What to Watch This Weekend, a series in which we give you our pick for the best new show or movie available.

We know, we know. Another food show? Aren’t there enough shows where a chef travels to different restaurants and talks shop? Yes, there are a lot, but we promise you Ugly Delicious is different. Hosted by David Chang, of Momofuku fame, Ugly Delicious strips away all the pretentiousness usually found in these types of shows, choosing, instead, to focus on less than aesthetically pleasing comfort dishes. A lot of the conversation focuses on food’s importance to a society and to a family and why pretty doesn’t always mean better. All that is to say, watch it and prepare to long for your mom’s meatloaf. Link
