Instead of taking the elevator to the ground floor, crossing the street, and taking another elevator up to your friend’s flat, some lucky folks in London will soon be able to swim there. The Sky Pool at Embassy Gardens, where apartments cost close to $1 million, will be the first of its kind—a transparent pool 115 feet in the air that connects two buildings. Plans for the pool have only just been approved, so you’ll have to wait until late 2018 before you can actually see people swimming above you as you walk through southern London.
