A Look Inside the Tesla Model 3

Tesla recently delivered the first thirty Model 3 electric sedans to employees who purchased the cars and the reviews were, well, mixed. Some think the styling and the upgrades that can tack on tens of thousands of dollars leave something to be desired while others applaud the affordability and the changing landscape of electric cars in general. But one thing is for sure—the interior of the Tesla Model 3 is different than any other automobile ever produced. When the original prototype of the Model 3 was revealed with its incredibly spartan interior, few believed the final production model would be as devoid of gadgets and gauges. It is. The only instrumentation you’ll get in a Model 3 is a single fifteen-inch touchscreen mounted front and center. No instrument panel. No head’s up display. No gauge cluster. You get a few buttons on the wheel, but the entirety of the dash and the windshield is as clean as a baby’s bottom. It’s still too soon to tell if the Tesla Model 3 is an affordable dream car, but we’re holding out hope for the dream of the electric sports sedan that Elon Musk promised us.
