Known as everything from the Moke and the Mini Moke to the Morris Mini Moke and the Austin Mini Moke, the vehicle with cult-like status the world over is finally coming stateside this year. Moke America—not to be confused with any one of the original manufacturers—is making U.S.-exclusive versions of the open top car that’s reminiscent of everything from a beach buggy and a go-kart to a Jeep and a golf cart. Moke America is producing this peculiar rides in eight different colors with both an electric and gas model (which will be rolling out later) and integrating features like a rollbar, weatherproof seats and a stereo with a USB port. The electric e-Moke can be charged straight from the wall in 8-10 hours, tops out at 25 mph and has a range of 40 miles. If you’re looking for a new runabout for daily tasks around your expansive property or to take a trip into the nearest beach town, you might actually want one of the newest iterations of the cult classic.
