For almost a decade, the team of engineers, mechanics and professional bike athletes from Hi-Power Cycles have been pushing the limits of what’s possible with an electric bike. Case in point: the Hi-Power Cycles 2018 Typhoon Pro. If it wasn’t apparent enough from the pictures, the combination e-bike / dirt bike is ready to tackle hills, trails and any other obstacle you might see in front of you when you’re riding it. All of this is possible because of the attention to detail and performance parts the bike is built with. 6,000W or 7,000W power options with three different battery choices up to 2,400Wh and an optional 3-speed rocker switch. All that power is delivered to a 26″ x 4″ tire in the rear that’s paired with a 27.5″ tire in the front. You’ll also get a Renthal narrow/wide chainring, KMC SL-10 gold pedal chain, RK Gold drive train, Magura MT7 quad piston hydraulic disc brakes and a custom-tuned suspension made up of a DVO Emerald 8″ travel in the front and Jade 8″ travel in the rear. Throw some panniers on the back and you have a fitting survival bike.
