Harley-Davidson 2017 Road King Special

Originally introduced in 1994 with roots that harken back to the FL model of the early 1940s, the Road King has been one of the most popular touring Harleys, and the Harley-Davidson 2017 Road King Special keeps all that history while also introducing a whole slew of new features. For starters, this iteration of the touring bike skips all the chrome in favor of black trim on all four of the body options. On that note, if you’re wondering what kind of tank, fender, bag and body colors you can have with your black trim, your options are Vivid Black, Charcoal Denim, Olive Gold and Hard Candy Hot Rod Red Flake. Each of the options is powered by the ninth-generation Big Twin Milwaukee Eight engine with 107 and 114 cubic inch displacements, four-valve cylinder heads, ten percent increase in torque and fifty percent increase in airflow. Couple all those features with four killer paint jobs, a lowered stance and a massive headlamp, among other things, and you end up with a bike that’s an instant classic while still looking mean as hell.
