Ford Eagle Squadron Mustang GT

Prior to America’s entry into World War II, the Royal Air Force had three Eagle Squadrons formed with volunteer pilots from the U.S. In order to pay tribute to those brave pilots, Ford teamed up with world champion drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. and his RTR Vehicles to create a one-off Eagle Squadron Mustang GT. With obvious inspiration from fighter aircraft and a pretty slick camouflage paint job, this is certainly a unique Mustang fastback in the looks department. Powered by a 700-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 with a Ford Performance supercharger, it’s no slouch in performance, either. There’s also an RTR carbon fiber wider-body kit and a Tactical Performance suspension package. Gittin will be piloting the Eagle Squadron Mustang GT at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK on July 12 before it returns stateside to get auctioned off at The Gathering during EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) AirVenture.
