If you are in any way interested in racing, you’ve familiar with the name Ayrton Senna. The Brazilian racing driver that was taken from us way too soon racked up three Formula One world championships for McLaren, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. There’s a McLaren car named after him. There was a documentary about him. If you’re a fan of the driver, and where he got his start, RM Sotheby’s has an upcoming auction that you might be interested in because Sotheby’s is offering up a go-kart that was last driven by the great. Sold by a former mechanic, racing driver and friend of Senna, this cart was last driven more than two decades ago by Senna himself, and it has since been restored to its former glory by the original manufacturers. The Ayrton Senna Kart will be auctioned off during the RM Sotheby’s London 2018 auction at the beginning of September. It’s expected to fetch somewhere in the range of $65,000 – $90,000.
