2019 Ford Ranger

Ever since we first talked about the official return of the Ranger we’ve been champing at the bit to get actual information from Ford about what this new model was going to include. The blue oval has finally delivered with the official unveiling of the 2019 Ford Ranger. Designed and engineered in Australia for international markets and then customized for the U.S. markets, this new midsize pickup truck is almost purpose built for the guy looking for a comfortable daily driver with enough capacity and off-road capability for a weekend of fun or projects. Right now, Ford only has plans to offer the 2019 Ranger with a single power package—2.3L turbocharged EcoBoost mated to a new 10-speed automatic transmission—but that’s more than enough get up and go to make this truck worthwhile. In terms of tech, you’ll find driver assist, terrain management, blind spot detection, optional Wi-Fi hotspot and an in-dash screen. The new Ford Ranger will be available in early 2019 with three trim models (XL, XLT, Lariat), along with plenty of options in the Chrome, Sport and FX4 off-road packages.
