If you dreamed of owning a muscle car as a kid, the blue racing stripes that ran across a cream-colored Shelby Mustang was what got your mind racing at night. Now the iconic name has returned with the announcement of the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. While it’s actually the work of Ford’s SVT group and not Shelby American, the sexy beast does sport a brawny 5.2-liter V-8 and can provide over 500 horsepower. It’s one powerful naturally aspirated engine. No word on pricing or when it will roll out, but that kid with Shelby posters on the wall inside of us is pretty damn giddy.
