We’ve covered a number of sports cars turned safari demons over the years, but the problem with most of them is that they’re artist renderings you couldn’t actually sit in and drive through the shit. That’s not the case with the 1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera affectionately dubbed “Willy” that you see here. The team at Kelly-Moss got their hands on this old Porsche and immediately set out to take it from street to Safari car (on a bet, no less!). Over the course of about 10 months, they ripped the car down and then replaced, renewed, rebuilt or reimagined every aspect of this former race machine to turn it into the off-road behemoth it is now. Larger wheel wells to accommodate the new rollers along with the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires. Custom roof rack and roll cage. Lower valance and deleted bumpers. Carbon / kevlar roof. 9eleven LED headlamps. 30″ LED light bar. The list goes on and on. This is a Porsche unlike any other. The “Willy” 1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera is currently being auctioned off on Vicci Auctions with a starting price of just shy of $400,000.
