The ’80s were an era many automakers would like to forget. Designs were… interesting, to say the least. That’s not the case for BMW, as the company released some highly desirable and stunningly beautiful rides throughout the days of boxy clunkers. Case in point, this 1981 M1. The M1 was designed as a Porsche killer, a 3.5-liter engine-propelled rocket that could take to FIA Group 4 racing. This fine example keeps the original colorway intact, with interior appointments in black and white just like the exterior. The M1 received some work in June courtesy of The Werk Shop, which cleaned up the fuel system, brakes, clutch, and engine, meaning, if you drop the $375,000+ to own it, you can put the pedal to the metal right away.
