This 1968 Dodge ‘Super Charger’ Packs 1,000 Horsepower

Joining the likes of the SpeedKore 1970 Dodge Charger Evolution is the beauty you see here, a 1968 Dodge Charger putting out an insane four-digits of horsepower. That’s right, the 1968 Dodge “Super Charger” Concept puts a solid 1,000 horsepower between you and the street. The build includes modern elements from the current Dodge Charger SRT and Challenger SRT lineups, like a stock T-6060 manual six-speed Hellcat transmission and a hood scoop modeled after the Demon. As gorgeous as the car is, it’s essentially just a platform built around that all new Mopar “Hellephant” engine. You see, the 426 Supercharged Mopar HEMI engine, nicknamed “Hellephant,” is a crate engine (the first with 1,000 hp) that’s been purpose built to easily drop in old classics with a special kit.
