Uhuru, the Brooklyn-based design firm responsible for fantastic furniture fixtures like the Coney Island Boardwalk Table, is back with a new piece of furniture that will single-handedly end the debate between co-workers about sitting or standing desks. The Uhuru Minim Rise Sit/Stand Desk is a dual workstation produced in their signature blend of steel and wood that allows either side to easily convert from sitting desk to standing workstation with the use of an electronic lift system. In addition to the obvious functional benefits, the workstation includes a number of base finishes and tabletop options. More importantly, the Minim has camouflaged, flip-top areas on the surface with power, data and USB ports, so everyone can stay productive without having to worry about where they connect wires. All you need to do is add some desk plants to really bring your office to life.
