To put it simply, the Table Pong Project combines the original Pong with a table… but it’s so much more than that. What started as a hardware and software hack to pay homage to Atari Pong ended with a table and physical pads and a ball that plays like a combination of the original and air hockey. Pong. In real life. Built into a table. It’s gorgeous, functional, and fun as hell, but the most impressive thing about it is that it was produced by a team without any previous electronics, production design or manufacturing skills. It’s one hell of a first project that is, unfortunately, not available for purchase… yet.
