Star Wars is a phenomenon, a cultural touchpoint and a collection of movies–outside of the prequels–that everyone needs to see so they can experience the wonder of the “galaxy far, far away.” In addition to the awesome movie bars we’d like to have a drink at, the fantastic spaceships and the incredible stories, Star Wars always presented a universe we wanted to be a part of. We always knew that there was a huge market for Star Wars memorabilia, but we weren’t aware that action figures from the universe could be as pricey as they are. Boba Fett–the bounty hunter that’s one of our favorite characters, Mandolorian or otherwise, and was introduced in The Empire Strikes Back–has a prototype rarities action figure that’s currently up for sale for the middle six figures and could reach up to a $500k estimate. The rest of the Star Wars Rarities Auction from Hake’s includes Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Walrus Man figures, along with Topps gum cards, Tri-Logo playpacks, and framed displays. If you’ve ever wanted to venture to a galaxy far, far away, you’ll find some memorabilia you want to own in this auction.
