Department Chicago is a small shop out of, you guessed it, Chicago, that’s designing and building vintage style furniture with a particular bent towards record storage. Their latest project is a Modern HiFi Stereo Console that’s designed and built to be the focal point of any room. The console will be built in varying combinations of walnut and maple and will feature a sound system with audio inputs for your favorite turntable you set on top or any Bluetooth 4.0 device you connect. Below, in between the speakers, you’ll also find storage for at least 120 records. Details remain subject to change because this is a Kickstarter, but we have a sneaking suspicion the end product is going to be even better than these potential prototypes.
