When it comes to smaller EDC pieces, games, jewelry or display objects, if it can be made out of solid metal, it’s a fair bet one of the best options is made by J.L. Lawson & Co. One of our favorite everyday carry shops you should know, J.L. Lawson & Co. makes key carrying devices, tops, dice, decision making coins, fidget toys and now, a set of solid dominoes. 6 years ago, Anthony Lawson designed the original set, but it was never put into production because the costs associated with machining them by hand would make them impossibly expensive. Lawson tapped Michael Rahban–he helped with their mazes–to bring a version of these solid brass or solid copper dominoes to life with the magic of the CNC. The final product is hand-finished, includes a walnut storage box and in total, the set weighs a hefty 2 pounds. This should go without saying because it’s a J.L. Lawson & Co. product, but the dominoes are also downright stunning. The Kickstarter project has already crushed its funding goal. Since they haven’t had any issues delivering on their dozen projects so far, expect your dominoes to be delivered around their October date.
